We are excited to announce that Murray River Trails has been awarded Gold at this year’s South Australian Tourism Awards in the Ecotourism Category!
This is the fourth consecutive year that our team has been awarded as winners in this category. This award is a tribute to the resilience and brilliance of our guiding team who deliver world class ecotourism experiences on the Murray River!
Thank you to our wonderful guiding team and fabulous guests who have all helped make this possible and to the Tourism Industry Council of SA, SA Tourism Commission and Tourism Australia for their fantastic advocacy efforts in assisting our industry to move forward.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners at this years awards, it is wonderful to be in the room where everyone has faced challenges, but they are also optimistic about the future of tourism in South Australia.

This ecotourism award demonstrates that setbacks can be overcome and recognises the importance of the Murray River to the future of Australia’s visitor economy.
Ecotourism is an opportunity for river communities to develop a more sustainable economy by creating high yielding experiences that celebrate a healthy river when water is invested in environmental flows. This is the great opportunity for Australia – to create a destination like no other that builds on an $11 billion dollar tourism industry already in the Murray Darling Basin.
