Tourism Australia developed the Signature Experiences Program in 2012 to showcase the best holiday experiences in Australia to the world.
Murray River Walk became a member of Signature Experiences Great Walks of Australia in the year that it was launched (2016) and Murray River Safari became a member of Signature Experiences Australian Wildlife Journeys, also in the year it was launched (2020).
Murray River Trails is also a member of:
- Australian Tourism Export Council
- Tourism Industry Council of South Australia
- Destination Riverland, and
- Boating Industry Association/Houseboat Hirers Association
Murray River Trails holds the following accreditations:
- Advanced Ecotourism Certification with Ecotourism Australia
- Sustainable Tourism - Quality Tourism Accredited Business
- COVID Clean Practicing Business
In raising the profile of the Murray River, we are delighted to have won the Ecotourism category at the South Australian Tourism Awards over 5 consecutive years, and to have been inducted into the South Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame twice. In 2022 we were awarded the Premier's Award for Service Excellence — a wonderful recognition of our team and the experiences we provide.
