Video: Building Our Houseboat High River
We are excited to share this brilliant video which shares the process of building our new luxury houseboat High River.
Construction of High River was completed in April 2022 with the support of the South Australian Tourism Industry Development Fund (TIDF).
Construction of the pontoons began at Pinyon Engineering in Renmark on November 2, 2021 and was completed January 12, 2022.
The pontoons were transported to Lock 5 Road in Paringa where building the house above pontoons commenced on January 19, 2022 and the final project was complete on April 28, 2022. Just in time for the first Murray River Walk tour of the season on May 2, 2022.

The purpose-built houseboat uses solar power that removes the need for a diesel generator. Expansive windows on the port side create superb river vistas, and a spacious top deck with spa enables wellness activities such as yoga. Containing 6 bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms, it is perfectly set up for a relaxing ecotourism experience for couples, families, or groups
